Flash you see, is used not only as a main source of illumination in low light, but it's absolutely necessary as a fill source in bright sunlight or high contrast scenes. Necessary to stop action as well in many cases. We will discuss how to formulate your flash settings for either of these purposes, using flash as your main and your fill source using a simple equation of the desired amount of light you want to produce, and your distance from the subject.
